A typical cruise aboard Sable will last 3 to 4 hours and will introduce our guests to the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay. After a quick tour of Deltaville Harbor, we head out into the waters of the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay. We’ll cruise by the remains of 2 offshore lighthouses, stop at the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail interpretive buoy, and discuss the history of the area.
You will design, with Captain Gene, your own very special memory builder aboard the NATHALIE, the perfect boat for the area. We are comfortable and quiet yet fast when we need to be. In addition to watermen's heritage tours on his own vessel, Captain Gene is one of the Captains of the Cove at The Tides.
Captain and Rappahannock River Guide, Richard Moncure is fully licensed and certified by the United States Coast Guard and the American Canoe Association. Join Captain Moncure and his family of waterpeople to enjoy the bounty of the Rappahannock River, and the rich heritage of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. Tours leave from Farnham and Tappahannock.
Salt marshes serve as the outdoor classroom on Captain Rick Kellam's seaside barrier island tours. From seashell hunting, to clamming to feasting on gourmet delights, Broadwater Bay Ecotours offer a little bit of everything. No one can show the natural wonders or tell the intriguing tales of people who once called these shifting sands home as can this fifth generation Hog Islander.
